Sheet Extrusion
Roettele Industries extrudes thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers. Extruded plastic sheets/rolls are available in thicknesses from .020" to .250" and up to 36" wide. Plastic and TPR materials are rolled on to standard 3" paper cores and in quantities from 500 lbs to 80,000 lbs runs.
We extrude sheet in-house for improved price, quality and lead time on die cut washers and gaskets that require a thermoplastic or thermoplastic rubber material.
Thickness Tolerance Table
| From | To | Tolerance |

| .030" | .050" | +/- .003" |
| .051" | .095" | +/- .004" |
| .096" | .125" | +/- .005" |

Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), also known as thermoplastic rubber (TPR), is a classification of copolymers that is a mix of plastic and rubber. TPE's retain both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. TPE's are a good material to be used for gaskets, washers, and related products. Plus, unlike synthetic rubber, TPE's can be recycled. A TPE compound can be a substitution for organic rubbers. Depending on the application, a TPE like Santoprene ™ is a good substitue for EPDM rubber. Roettele Industries extrudes the following TPE materials into sheet for die-cutting:
- Dynaflex ™ TPE compounds is a general purpose TPE to fulfill a broad spectrum of customer specifications.
- Kraton ® TPE has similar properties of natural rubber but with increased resistance to heat, chemicals, and weathering.
- Santoprene ™ TPV is a good alternative to EPDM. It offers much of the same characteristics as EPDM with good compression set and life span.
- Sarlink ® TPV is a low hardness, multi-purpose thermoplastic elastomer featuring excellent compression set and high temperature performance.
